Cleaning Up In The County

When was the last time you had you septic tank cleaned?  This is the most common question that is usually asked when a frantic homeowner discovers that they have septic backing up in their house. Most homeowners are not aware that having your septic tank cleaned is recommended to be done very 3 to 5 years per the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act.  Do you as a homeowner even know where you septic tank is located?

Did you have a drainfield inspection completed prior to purchasing your home?  This is another common question that is asked when a new homeowner doesn’t understand why the grounds on the home they just purchased are soggy and wet.  Just as important as it is to have a home inspection done when purchasing you home to ensure that there are no major issues, or a termite inspection to make sure there are no underlying problems, it is also just as important to have a Drainfield Inspection done to make sure the system is working properly.  The small cost of a Drain Field inspection is almost nothing compared to what you would have to spend to replace a defective system.

Aside from residential customers, there are also commercial customers such as restaurants, car washes and government localities.  Do you as a restaurant franchise realize how important it is to have the grease traps in you facility cleaned on a routine basis.  Have you ever had the strong odor of grease filling your facility while diners are trying to enjoy their meals?  Routine cleaning of the grease traps and jetting of the lines can alleviate this problem.  If you are a local car wash, are you aware of the amount of sand, dirt and other trash that accumulates in your car wash pits and transfer to the public sewer lines if they are not cleaned on a routine basis? It can become a tedious process to shovel mounds of dirt, sand and debris from a pit that is not maintained on a routine basis.

A&M Septic Service LLC is a locally owned family company that can provide the answers to the above questions as well as also provide the service that is needed to assist both residential and commercial clients.
